About Barton Hall
Choose Barton Hall activity centre for your secondary school trip and enjoy a fantastic location near Torquay.
Close to Dartmoor and with several blue flag beaches nearby, there’s plenty to offer secondary school groups looking for some inspirational outdoor learning opportunities.
For those that like to explore, we can lead coastal walks that are a great way for your students to learn more about the beautiful landscape that surrounds the centre.
For those who prefer to stay within the centre grounds, Barton Hall is packed full of all the adventure activities your secondary school pupils will love!
We’ve got great facilities too; there’s a heated outdoor pool, a lake for watersports and even a dry ski slope!
At the end of a busy day, your group can relax in our comfortable en suite accommodation within our cosy mansion house or purpose-built chalets.

Balanced, great-tasting meals
We’ve got plenty of hot and cold food options for your students to choose from and all our meals are freshly cooked at every mealtime.
Soup and salad – a meal in itself
Our salad bar is always busy at mealtimes and provides a wide choice of healthy, nutritious salad choices for your group. There’s also homemade soup available every day and lots of fresh fruit – they can help themselves!
For the more particular
We’ll do our best to cater for any dietary requirements your students may have. Our catering team will always find something to suit. For those students who just want a bit more, just ask us – we always have extra food available.
